Meet Our Instructors

Luiz Gustavo Costa

With more than 18 years of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu experience and 5 years as a Renzo Gracie black belt, he has become a respected name on the mats. As a competitor, Luiz Gustavo achieved important titles in GI and NO-GI tournaments such as: Grapplers Quest, Naga, Pan American, New York Open, South American and many others. Besides his successful career as a fighter, he also has a strong background in teaching and coaching adults and kids. From 2008 to 2011 Luiz Gustavo was an instructor at Renzo Gracie NJ, and from 2012 to 2014 he was the head instructor at Renzo Gracie fight academy in Brooklyn. Since he believes that Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu has the power of changing people’s life through discipline and self-esteem, Luiz Gustavo constantly travels around the world teaching seminars and sharing his successful life story and knowledge.
